Our Story

Mapy Bossiwa Bolonda is originally from Congo. Son of Michel Bossiwa and Helene Eyenga Etswaka.

At the age of 12, he became seriously ill. Doctors never ound the cause of his illness, and many people lost hope. They called him “AKUFA LOBI”, which means “he will die tomorrow”. But, by the grace of God, Mapy was miraculously healed by God.

He accepted Jesus Christ in 1988. The death of his mother was a very painful time for him. He was confused, angry at God and doubting his existence, wondering why God had allowed such a trial. He became very committed in 1990 and started serving God. He was ordained as a minister in late 1995 in Congo. In 1998, he left Congo to seek a better life in Europe and serve God.

He travelled through many countries, serving God, than he settled in Manchester in 2000, where he is married and the father of three boys. He earned a bachelor's degree, a master's degree and recently completed his doctorate.

With his wife Golda, they founded River of Life Ministries and River of Life Christian Community, through which they organize many spiritual and community activities in the UK and other countries.

Our vision is to make the reality of Jesus (His lordship, love and power) evident in people's daily lives. So that in the end, people will say that Jesus is really real in my life.

Our mission is to equip God's children through preaching and teaching to make a positive difference in their environment.

River of life ministries our activities began in 2003 in Manchester, England. We organized many activities in England and elsewhere with many ministers, churches and ministries to win souls to God and build the kingdom of God.
